The airport in La Seu d'Urgell has finally opened after having being closed for many years due to security reasons. The Principality of Andorra can benefit greatly from this valuable infrastructure, that will help attract foreign investment slowly but surely, and serve as the international gateway to Andorra, taking into consideration that the closest international airport is in Barcelona which is approximately 235 km from Andorra, that means a good 3 hour drive either by bus, taxi or your own vechicle.
